Wow, what a find. This is the first concert I ever went to. I was 17, but still very Naive, and basically had no idea what was going on. Also the first time that big ol' joint hit me. I didn't know any songs, remember crowd surfing, and moshing..lol moshing at blind melon, and I constantly walked from near front of stage to all the way downstairs to drink water from the bathroom faucets from that damn cotton mouth. However, what a time it was, and it was the start of a love for live music. Great find, thanks for posting.

While searching for Grateful Dead shows on Archive.org on a whim I typed in my favorite comedian and came across this show. Thank you very much for the heads up. I have listened to "Walk" several times and also truly believe that this is Chris Farley who the girl is talking about. I actually have a Chris Farley blog (welcometofarleyville.blogspot.com)and posted a blog about this show and Chris and Shannon's friendship (check it out here: http://welcometofarleyville.blogspot.com/2010/03/chris-farley-and-bilnd-melon.html).

I really enjoyed listening to this concert except for all the people talking in the back ground...that is until I heard a girl(during Walk)say "are you from saturday night live?" After listening to it about 30 times it finially dawned on me. They played SNL in Jan '94 and Shannon and Chris Farley became very close. Once I figured that I can hear the classic Farley giggle after the chick says "I love you" then precedes to see if he is going back stage. Thank you so much for this show...now if only there were more old Blind Melon shows on here.

My decade birthday show! Lucky guy, Ed. What a gem in the archives. Much thanks to whomever taped/uploaded this stellar, classic show. Their sound, His voice, just make me want to go hang at the river w/ my best buds and take in life under the sunshine. Especially great versions of I Wonder, Time, and Deserted.

I was at this show!!! I can't believe this is here!! This is one of my favorite concert memories, can't believe it was 14 years ago! I was actually reminiscing about this the other night at the Umphreys show at Roseland, it was almost as hot sweaty and overcrowded as Blind Melon was. But Shannon and the band were awesome, it was a great time.
Thanks again!!!!!!!
